Charmaine’s extensive background
provides the full range of administrative and RM expertise. She
gained a broad base of knowledge in digital content management
integrated RM software solutions as the Manager of Administrative
Services for Stellent, Inc. a major content management systems
provider. Charmaine also provided analysis and consultation to field
professionals regarding the implementation of digital-based RM
systems at Select Technologies, Inc.
She has been Records Supervisor for Micron Technology, Inc., a
leading worldwide provider of semiconductor memory solutions; and
Records and Information Management Coordinator at the Idaho National
Engineering Laboratory.
As an RM Supervisor Charmaine maintained a working relationship with
all levels and departments to plan for and meet the company’s record
retention requirements; developed and conducted enterprise-wide
education and training programs for new hires, department
coordinators and records management staff; coordinated destruction
process with department managers and the legal and tax departments;
managed record center operations and staff including facilities
management, litigation and audit support, check in/check out,
destruction of obsolete records; and prepared and presented
department budgets and reports to management.
After 11 years, Charmaine remains an active member of ARMA –
Association for Records Managers and Administrators (www.ARMA.org) –
previously serving as a Board Member for four consecutive years. She
is a local chapter vice president.

Tom Cermak has held key roles in the
Electronic Content Management (ECM) industry with several
organizations for more than a decade. His primary focus with IMERGE
includes requirements definition, business development, client
services management and alliance relationships.
His past roles have included business analysis, project management,
consulting and sales management. He has direct, hands-on experience
with several document and content management platforms as well as
image capture hardware and software, ICR/OCR products and workflow
programs.
Tom is CDIA+ certified since 2002 and has completed technical
training on Hyland OnBase, OnBase Workflow, Kofax and Verity. He is
also the founder of InQueue Inc., an ECM Staff Augmentation firm
specializing in providing technical resources to ECM VAR’s. He
previously worked for MTM, Inc. (an $8MM ECM Solutions Integrator in
the Midwest), Plexus Software (BancTec), and Minolta Business
Systems.
Over his career, Mr. Cermak has been engaged to provide services and
solutions at organizations such as Ford Motor Credit (workflow),
Caterpillar (workflow), American Pharmaceutical Partners (ECM), SBC
(Scanning). In addition he has served state, county and local
government in the U.S. and provincial government in Canada.

Bernard has over 35 years of
diversified IS/IT experience across a number of industries. He has
been a consultant specializing in electronic document and RM for the
past seven years, working with a mix of public and private
organizations to improve their operations and ensure compliance.
Bernard’s specific RM experience includes: RM requirements for
electronic systems; drafting RM policies; records inventories;
developing e-Records RFPs; process reviews for compliance; review of
RM products; and undertaking the IBM ERM Records Service partner
program.
Bernard has been an active participant in industry associations,
acting as a board member of local chapters of AIIM, ARMA and TAWPI.
He spoke at the AIIM 2001, 2002 and 2003 national conferences.
He is the content management columnist for DB2 magazine, and a
frequent columnist for e-Doc magazine. Recent published RM articles
include, “Records Management”, Fundamentals Column, e-Doc (Sept/Oct
2003); “Auto-Categorization and Records Management”, e-Doc (Mar/Apr
2004); and “Digital Compliance”, DB2 magazine, Q1 2005.
Bernard has been technical editor of several EDMS industry
standards, including Shamrock, DMA and XML for Images. In 2003 he
received the Standards Excellence award from AIIM.
Earlier in his career, Bernard designed, implemented, and managed
data communications product development and communications networks
across a broad range of technologies. He holds the Certified
Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+), Information Capture Professional
(ICP) and AIIM Master of Information Technology (MIT) designations.

Vigi has more than 35 years of
diversified IS/IT experience in all areas of records and document
management systems and in systems and technology with a major
financial institution in Canada. As an IMERGE Principal, Vigi has
undertaken projects involving corporate-wide electronic document and
records management studies for federal, provincial and municipal
sectors on the strategic direction and compliance reviews to meet
the national standards on the electronic records evidentiary
requirements. His recent engagements to a major financial
institution entailed review of records and document management
process requirement against the ISO 15489 Records Management and
Canadian General Standards Board on Electronic Records as
Documentary Evidence Standards.
Vigi is a noted industry leader in the fields of electronic records
evidentiary policy, RM, document management, imaging, hybrid imaging
and micrographic systems.
Vigi has acted as an expert advisor in the records and document
management field for the global divisions of a major Canadian
financial institution. This experience translates into a broad
understanding of business processes, ROI Analysis, RFP development,
vendor selection, workflow analysis and project management.
Specifically, Vigi has played a leading role as a project manager
and senior technical consultant on various projects in corporate
systems and technology. His leadership resulted in a comprehensive
study and evaluation of Government of Ontario ministry divisions to
establish corporate-wide records and document management long-term
e-Government initiatives within the Province.
A past national President of the Canadian Information and Image
Management Society, Vigi is the Chair of the Canadian General
Standards Board Standards Committee on Electronic Records as
Documentary Evidence, and Chair of Canadian Advisory Committee on
ISO/TC 171 Committee and a member of the ISO and AIIM Standards
Committee on Evidentiary Support and Document Imaging Standards. He
is a Fellow of both CIIMS and AIIM-International and Fellow of the
Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB). He has earned the Masters of
Information Technologies (MIT) from the AIIM-International.
Vigi has authored several publications on document management
systems and strategies and image management systems. He is a highly
regarded speaker in Canada, USA, Australia, India, Amsterdam and
Jamaica.

Donald Post has been a Partner of
IMERGE Consulting, Inc. since 1999. Previously, he was Senior
Manager of Xerox Professional Services, and a Senior Consultant with
A.T. Kearney Management Consultants. Mr. Post has conducted several
large business process and electronic document management
engagements with well known clients in North America. In these roles
he has become an industry expert, and is frequently asked to write
and to speak at conferences.
Don was one of the first 28 Certified Document Imaging Architechs
(CDIA), and is recognized as an AIIM Masters of Information
Technology Laureate (LIT). He is recognized as an Information
Capture Professional (ICP) by TAWPI, and is a trainer for the ICP,
CDIA+ and AIIM ERM Certificate courses.
Don is a member of AIIM and ARMA. He served as Chair of the AIIM2005
Conference, and spoke at ARMA2005. He has given numerous
presentations since 1997 at national conferences including AIIM,
ARMA, TAWPI, XPLOR and COMDEX. For TAWPI (The Association for Work
Process Improvement) he is Chair of TAWPI2006, and serves on the
National Board for 2003-08.
He has a broad understanding of and experience with business
processes in many sectors including insurance, banking, utility,
manufacturing and government. In recent assignments, Mr. Post
completed a strategic assessment of records management for the
Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing; and
completed a study of document & records management requirements for
the City of Brampton, Ontario (Canada).

Terry has successfully managed
information technology projects that employ emerging technologies
for the past 29 years. For the past 19 years, he has specialized in
projects devoted to unstructured content and records. His work has
tracked the evolution of unstructured data systems through the
stages of electronic imaging, document management, content
management, self-describing documents, and records management. His
experience encompasses the entire range of the systems development
life cycle from concept to post implementation review. His expertise
includes both digital and analog technologies. He is well versed in
process analysis methodologies as well as statutory and regulatory
constraints.
Terry has demonstrated a wide range of technical and managerial
skills for a diverse set of business clients pursuing a wide range
of business objectives related to content and records.
Electronic Document Management (EDM) requirements determination,
acquisition, and implementation oversight: Terry assisted more than
20 organizations in developing their electronic document policies,
procedures, and implementations. He developed user consensus around
business objectives and appropriate technology solutions; educated
user community about statutory and regulatory constraints; and
assisted in selecting vendors and establishing acceptance criteria
and service levels.
Business Process Analysis: Terry analyzed business processes in more
than 15 organizations to determine and justify appropriate
technology interventions, helping to build consensus among user
community in accepting new technology and process change, and
communicating process requirements to software vendors and
developers to establish delivery parameters.
Document and Records Management Strategic Plans: Terry conducted gap
analyses for documents and records in more than 10 organizations. He
identified and documented unconstrained user expectations; helped
users to constrain expectations by technology, budget, and statutory
constraints; and documented strategic plans to set roadmaps for
long-term achievement of business objectives.
Electronic Records Management Policy and Procedures Development:
Terry developed plans for transitioning from paper to electronic
records management for three organizations; identified efficiencies
to be gained by the transition; determined organization impact of
transition and developed plan for adjustment; and researched and
interpreted statutes and assisted diverse user disciplines in
assessing transition risks.
